Dear Followers,
How are you? Good I hope. Today
DesignersCouch is re-booting. Once the largest club on dA we're starting from scratch because we've updated the account to using dA Groups compliments of $
chix0r. Thanks Fiona, you're awesome!
So now that we're using this shiny new system which is still being tested it means every member has to re-apply, our gallery needs organizing and more importantly we have moderator system. Very cool.
In order to be a member, just select that category when you join. Those who are members on
designerscouch.org will be under 'creative humans' so in order to be under this category simply join us on our website. If you're already a member on our site, simply link us to your account.
The difference between these 2 category of membership is quite simple: you can do more here on dA as "creative human". You can:
- Share inspirational blog entries
- Submit Designs to the Gallery for more exposure
- Edit Content
- Submit Favourites
Now that we have moderator system in place we'll be putting key personnel in place as 'community managers' who'll manage and oversee things here at dA. Anyone interested please contact:

Now the big question is - how do we align our website with this group here on dA. DesignersCouch was never meant nor it never will replace deviantART for way too many reasons to state. However, being a member of DesignersCouch will have benefits. Those benefits can include:
- discount on various services
- giveaways to our "creative humans" - I think you remember our macbook give away which we're now wrapping up.
- special contest for our "creative humans"
- webinars for our "creative humans"
- and much more.
We're open and our goal is to bring exposure to your designs. We accomplish this by doing these little things:
- Members can promote their work here on dA
- Submitting to
designerscouch.org posts your work to our 2 twitter accounts: designerscouch and designcritique (over 4k combined).
- Your work gets posted to
[link]- Your work gets faved on visualize
Not bad if you ask me. That's us being committed to exposing your work. One of the perks of being a creative human at designerscouch.org. That's in addition to the other things we do.
The choice is yours be a member or me a "creative human". Quite simple and no pressure.
Please understand this new group account is new to me and it's actually quite complex. There's lots to set up and organized and quite a bit to learn in terms of navigating. Nothing too difficult for the web savvy though. I'm just saying to expect changes here and there and a few hiccups along the way.
So. Join up. Become a member or a Creative Human.
